South Snowdonia Search & Rescue Team (SSSART) is a registered charity that operates in the South of Snowdonia National Park in North West Wales. We are a team of over 35 people from varied backgrounds who come together to assist North Wales Police in the event of a mountain emergency. We can also be called upon to help locate missing or vulnerable people in lowland and built-up areas. Over a third of our members are also trained in swift water rescue techniques in the event of an incident in the area’s many rivers and lakes.

SSSART is a member team of North Wales Mountain Rescue Association and Mountain Rescue England and Wales.
